AWS Greengrass on VMware vSphere Is Here! Let’s Go!

Today we are pleased to announce the availability of our preview of the AWS Greengrass Core VM Appliance 0.5. Serverless, FaaS, and Cloud Services on vSphere?!!! Yes!

Co-authored by Chris Wolf, VP and CTO of Global Field & Industry, and Mark Peek, Principal Engineer   Serverless computing is becoming increasingly popular to create micro services without needing to worry about how the functions are orchestrated or scaled. Globally Consistent Infrastructure-as-Code: Why it Matters

In my Radius post “Dissecting Cloud Architectures – Getting the Best of All Worlds,” I discussed the tradeoffs and use cases for choosing the right architecture for a given application or service. I speak with a lot of IT leaders that want to strategically leverage cloud services when possible, but also want flexibility to deploy […]

Oftentimes I hear about workloads that are initially developed on a particular cloud provider’s infrastructure that cannot be redeployed or migrated anywhere else. To be clear, nothing is technically impossible. It’s always a matter of […]
