Holiday season is upon us again. And despite the rocky last two years, I’m still very conscious of how much I have to be grateful for.
I’m grateful for all of the opportunities I have been given in my 18 years at VMware, and especially for my new role as CTO. I’m grateful to work for a company with an ambitious 2030 Agenda to help create a more sustainable, equitable, and secure future for all. I’m grateful for my creative, hardworking team and that my family is happy and healthy.
Yes — there is much to be grateful for, even amidst a turbulent world soldiering through a devastating pandemic.
This time is also the perfect opportunity to focus on giving back to the community. The VMware Foundation espouses “citizen philanthropy,” which encourages our employees to contribute to their favorite causes, even if it’s just to volunteer their time.
What are you grateful for this year? How can you give back to those who are less fortunate? I invite you to let me know in the comments, on Twitter, or on LinkedIn. Have a happy and safe holiday season!
Best,
Kit
